We may not have a lot of high-profile Governor races in 2016 like we did in 2014. But one of the big ones will be in Montana and here's a big reason why we need to make sure Governor Steve Bullock (D. MT) is re-elected:

Gov. Steve Bullock's proposed budget for the next two years will include a plan to expand Medicaid and start a pre-kindergarten education program, while he again insists that lawmakers leave a substantial "rainy day fund" or budget surplus.
That's the word from Bullock's budget director, Dan Villa.
The Democratic governor will unveil his budget for the 2017 biennium at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Governor's Reception Room in the Capitol.
He also will be proposing to enact a substantial program to build and repair infrastructure around the state and to beef up mental health services.
"The governor is really committed to the fiscal responsibility that he's tasked with, and that's what you'll see Monday," Villa said in an interview Friday.
Bullock's budget proposal will go to the Republican-controlled House and Senate, which will pass their own versions of the budgets after lengthy hearings and deliberations. The budget approved by the Legislature will come back to Bullock for his signature into law, any line-item vetoes or his veto.
The deliberations over the budget are a major responsibility--if not the major duty--of the Legislature. In fact, the only duty the Montana Constitution assigns to the Legislature is to pass a budget in which the expenditures match anticipated revenues.
Villa said Bullock on Monday will announce a specific plan to expand Medicaid to provide health insurance for low-income Montanans who don't now have it. The governor was unsuccessful in passing a Medicaid expansion in 2013. - Insurance News Net, 11/16/14
